Twilight arcade

Recorded far from the sea by Alex Bennet at Sound recordings, Twilight Arcade is an analogue world of surf, garage and psychedelia.  Follow the Hawaiian lines of Waimea Bay as it recedes into tape echo and organ drones to emerge on the desert frontier in pursuit of the Brazen Shah; a slow burner charting the rise and fall of a crooked Persian king.  Wander through the many rooms to the hash lounge of Shangri La, where the panther walks in the scuzzy ghetto making pacts with a zephyr breeze.  In the orbit of the Dead Planet the drummer finds space for wondrous rolls and fills, as the guitars exchange phrases across a starry divide.
